The Sutherland Shire Business Chamber (SSBC) Executive Committee is made up of local business owners who volunteer their time to contribute to the day to day operation of the Business Chamber.
As a not-for-profit membership organisation, the SSBC provides an important and independent voice in our community.
If you are a financial Premium Member or Supporter of the SSBC, you are invited to nominate and vote for our new Executive Committee.
Each year, in accordance with our Constitution, a number of Board positions become available for election.
If you are a motivated and enthusiastic business owner, or leader, and passionate about improving the economic development within the Sutherland Shire, we would love to hear from you. You can nominate yourself or another Chamber Member or Supporter.
The following positions are available in the 2022 elections (Click on heading to access position description):
To ensure our board represents a diversity of skills and sectors, we welcome candidates from small, medium and large businesses who have expertise in any of (but not limited to) the following fields:
- Legal
- HR
- Advocacy
- Corporate leadership
Election Dates:
- 10 August – Nominations open to all financial SSBC members*
- 8 September – Nominations close
- 15 September – Candidates will be posted on website and ballot papers distributed to members
- 15 September – Voting opens to all financial SSBC members*
- 26 September – Voting Closes at midday
- 29 September – Annual General Meeting – Announcement of new Executive Committee

*In accordance with Clause 5.10 of the constitution, non-paying members do not have voting rights and they, or their representatives, may not propose a nominee or fill the office of Director of the Company.
