Australian businesses are quietly absorbing the cost of cybersecurity attacks to keep them off of the radar with small and medium businesses paying an average $276,323 to recover from a successful attack.
The Sutherland Shire Business Chamber and Realise Business have put together a cybersecurity panel to help our local businesses understand and combat cyber attacks.
Speakers include:
Office of the Small Business Commissioner who will discuss the preliminary findings of a survey that they have conducted into business’ attitudes and views of cybercrime.
Samea Maakrun from Sasy & Savy who will share her personal experience of a cyberattack, how it happened and how it was resolved.
Louise Bavin a Corporate and Commercial lawyer from Australian Solutions Business who will talk about systems and processes businesses can put in place to legally protect themselves and the information of their customers.
Jeremy Nelson from Minos Technology who will outline some common cyber attacks, how they occur, how small businesses can prevent them and how they can bounce back if they do happen. Before starting Minos Technology, Jeremy worked in the world of corporate IT, implementing and supporting software for both local and international companies.
