A huge night for the Shire: SSBC named a Business NSW Hall of Fame winner
We’re incredibly proud to share some very big news for the Sutherland Shire Business Chamber — we have been inducted into the Business NSW Hall of Fame.
At the 2026 Business NSW Awards, we were recognised as the winner of the Outstanding Local Chamber category for the third consecutive year.
Three years. Three wins. And now, a place in the Hall of Fame.
For us, this recognition is about much more than an award. It’s a reflection of the work we do every day to support, connect and advocate for businesses across the Sutherland Shire.
The Outstanding Local Chamber award recognises chambers that make a meaningful and measurable difference to their local business community — championing economic growth, strengthening business capability, fostering collaboration and delivering initiatives that create positive outcomes.
That is exactly what we strive to do.
Over the past three years, we’ve continued to grow our network, create more opportunities for local businesses to connect, bring important conversations to the Shire and make sure the voice of local business is heard.
And while we’re celebrating our own achievement, there was another reason for us to be especially proud on the night.
One of our members takes out an international award
Congratulations to Valeo Technology, our valued Chamber member, who took home the Excellence in International Business award.
This category recognises NSW businesses taking Australian excellence to the world through areas such as technology, international expansion, partnerships, global trade and digital service delivery.
Seeing a Sutherland Shire business recognised at this level is something we’re absolutely thrilled to celebrate.
It’s a great example of the calibre, ambition and innovation that exists right here in our local business community — and a reminder that businesses based in the Shire are making their mark well beyond our borders.

Being inducted into the Business NSW Hall of Fame is a milestone we’re incredibly proud of, but we see it as recognition of the collective strength of our Chamber community.
Our Board, our members, our sponsors, our partners and everyone who comes along to our events, gets involved, shares their ideas and supports fellow local businesses all play a part in what we’ve built together.
We’re proud to represent the Sutherland Shire business community — and we’re not slowing down.
