Sutherland Shire Business Chamber and ANSTO sign MoU to support innovation and investment in the local area
The Sutherland Shire Business Chamber (SSBC) is pleased to announce the signing of a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ANSTO focused on collaborating and identifying opportunities to promote ANSTO’s new Innovation Precinct at Lucas Heights.
The Innovation Precinct will offer assistance to businesses, people and projects wishing to pursue relevant innovation and business revitalisation. As a Network Partner of the Innovation Precinct, the SSBC will support and assist in the objectives of ANSTO’s program.
In an exciting development for Shire businesses, the Precinct will place Southern Sydney at the heart of innovation in Australia and provide connections to the brightest researchers and engineers in the country. The Precinct’s “Nandin” deep technology incubator for entrepreneurs, startups and businesses will promote innovation and assist in the development and market rollout of technology-based products and services.
In signing the MoU, SSBC Chair Joanne Ryan said, “This is a groundbreaking development for our local area and we are looking forward to working with ANSTO and other partners to promote opportunities and encourage ideas. It is a development that will boost the local economy and the creation of jobs.”
